Xiaoji ZHOU, Professor and PhD Supervisor at Peking University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2001, was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2003, and worked as a visiting scholar at Imperial College London in 2006. In 2010, he became a Professor at Peking University and was selected into the "New Century Innovative Talent Program" of the Ministry of Education. From 2017 to 2020, he served as deputy President of Shanxi University on secondment.

Professor Zhou has long been engaged in research on coherent manipulation of ultracold atoms via light-atom interaction, quantum simulation, and quantum precision measurement. He has delivered more than 70 invited talks at domestic and international conferences, including the National Conference on Atomic Physics and the National Conference on Low-Temperature Physics. He has published over 120 SCI papers, with more than 1,000 citations.
