Ma, Lili is a Lecturer in the School of Electronics. She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Peking University in 1998 and 2001, respectively. She is currently working toward her PH.D. degree in communication and information system at Peking University. Her research interests include Acoustics, target detection and underwater signal processing.
Ma, Lili has published more than 20 research papers as an author or co-author, and most of them relates to the underwater acoustics. She is serving in Editorial Board of Technical Acoustics Journal. She is serving as a committee member in the Underwater Acoustic chapter of the Acoustic Society of China, and as a director in the Acoustic Society of Beijing.
Ma, Lili has participated more than ten research projects including 973 programs, 863 projects, etc. Her research achievements are summarized as follows:
1) Strategy of the receiver in an underwater acoustic OFDM communication system: The underwater OFDM communication system is a typical wide-band OFDM system and Doppler effect due to the terminal mobility in wideband OFDM systems is different to the terrestrial wireless systems. She designed a strategy of diversity reception and joint detection. This strategy can improve the performance remarkably in the underwater communication systems.
2) Calculation of acoustic scatter field in shallow water: Sonar equation is based on the environment of deep sea water, but it lost its validity in shallow water. Since the incident and reflected sound waves have complex interactions with the boundaries of the shallow water, she proposed several numerical calculation methods to approximate the distribution of the scatter fields and got some laws of the target scatter fields in the shallow water waveguide.
